THE ART OF EDITING:
​Audiences engage with a film in a way that can be likened to waves of tension and anticipation followed by waves of release. As these waves unfold within a story, audiences are guided through the plot at a pace dictated by the editorial rhythm. While collaboration with the director and cinematographer will influence these decisions, it’s ultimately the editor’s interpretation of the story that shapes the film’s rhythm.

A five part look into the life, mystery and work of arguably the greatest filmmaker that ever lived in Hollywood history. The talk is approximately 30 mins. with a Q&A talk-back at the end. One could say, if the British lost the Revolutionary War then Alfred Hitchcock was its big payback. The career of filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock spanned 50 years and the entire history of modern filmmaking. From the silent era to the explosion of Steven Spielberg, Hitchcock
influenced it all.

(AGENT CODY BANKS), horror movies (HALLOWEEN 2), faith movies (DEAD MAN
RISING), TV movies (NEW YORK PRISON BREAK: THE SEDUCTION OF JOYCE
MITCHELL), video games (STAR WARS:JEDI FALLEN ORDER/SURVIVOR) and television
series (MATLOCK, LOST).
